Hi guys, I wanted to ask if it might be possible for me to add a second layer of filters to our gallery? As you can see from the page, I have it set for us to filter by category. But do you think it would be easy for us to add a second filter, where I could also filter by tags?
Yes, adding a second filter, such as filtering by tags in addition to categories, is possible, but it would require a bit of customization. The default Gallery widget supports filtering by only one taxonomy (typically categories), so to implement dual filtering (categories and tags), we’d need to use either:
A custom-built filter setup using the Gallery widget + custom code, or
A plugin like JetSmartFilters from Crocoblock, which integrates with Elementor and allows multi-level filtering (including tags, categories, custom taxonomies, etc.).
If you're open to using an additional plugin, JetSmartFilters is a powerful and flexible option. Otherwise, we can explore a custom-coded solution depending on how complex the filtering needs to be.

Hi,
Sorry for the late reply,

Feel free to ask for anything you need.
