After fighting with this problem for days I figured it out. When editing the header in the advanced tab > Responsive, the visibility was disabled for tablet and mobile.

When my website hits the tablet or mobile breakpoint, the menu disappears. In elementor it shows up but is greyed out (examples in screenshot).
I hope you can help me solve this issue.
