Header issues after update

    Hi,

I have just come back to this site after two years, and have had to make a whole raft of updates - to the PHP version it is running, to Wordpress, Elementor Pro, to the Arkhitekton theme as well as the Neuron Core, and to many other plugins. Everything is up to date now :

    • PHP 7.4.32
    • WP 6.02
    • Elementor Pro 3.7.7
    • Arkhitekton 1.3.0
    • Neuron Core 1.2.9.
All has globally gone very well, except for one thing : the header on all pages is supposed to be offscreen and only appear when you scroll down, at which point it becomes sticky. Unfortunately it is now onscreen at all times, above the content, and isn't sticky any more.

A look at the code between the online version and a localhost version shows significant differences in the code : the div whose class is "l-template-header-wrapper" is completely gone, as is the header within it, whose class is "l-template-header l-template-header--sticky headroom headroom--not-bottom headroom--not-top headroom--unpinned".

Something must have got broken in the update? Can you please help? Thanks, Ric Zito [email protected]

Hi, I haven't heard anything back from you. It's been several days. Have you had a chance to look? I don't understand why the HTML in the header area is so different since the site and theme were updated. This is actually quite urgent now, as my client finally wishes to launch the site!

    Hi,

I am very sorry for the late reply, we were not working on the weekend + I had to take some days off due to some personal reasons.

This can be caused by a plugin, can you please go and deactivate all of the plugins besides those that are required by the theme and check if the issue is gone, if so, then activate them one by one until the issue is back, this will help you to find which plugin is causing this issue.

Feel free to ask for anything you need.

    Kind Regards

You are right - it is a plugin problem. The header works OK (not completely OK, but almost - I'll explain later) when only the Elementor plugin is activated. But as soon as I activate the Elementor Pro plugin, it breaks. So the Elementor Pro plugin is the guilty one! This is bad news, as my client has paid for the Pro version! There must be some conflict between Elementor Pro and Arkhitekton.

When I said the header works OK with the basic Elementor plugin, it displays fine. But the multicolored button in the top right doesn't work any more. It is supposed to open a modal popup. It works fine with Elementor Pro, but not with basic Elementor, as that doesn't have modal popup functionality.

    So to recap :

    • the header displays fine with Basic Elementor, but cannot open a popup from the button link
    • the header is broken with Elementor Pro activated, but the popup button link works
    • my client is a registered Pro customer

I sent you a private message with login and password. You can try for yourself. You will understand more easily when you turn the Pro plugin on and off. Please let me know how you get on? Thanks!!
