Anomated Heading Portfolio

    Hi, is there any way to have a custom heading per portfolio post?

    At the moment, using dynamic tags, the posts use the post title from the single post template in Elementor. I would like to display a custom abbreviated version per portfolio post. For example one of our posts is named: Title - Meaning. We would just like Titlet displayed as the portfolio title - not the - meaning part which we have added into the title for SEO purposes.

    The only way I can think of doing this currently is by using the dynamic tag 'post terms' and then using 'portfolio tags' but I feel this is a workaround and not really suitable for SEO purposes.

    Keen to hear your thoughts on this and if there is any solution

    It's ok now. I've sussed it out under Elementors 'general settings' in each portfolio item - thanks anyway

    Hi guys - apologies. I thought I had solved this by finding the below but this method actually changes the title of the portfolio post. It doesn't offer a custom title which is what I really need.

    Hi,

    I am very sorry for the late reply, we were not working on the weekend.

    1) Please take a look at the following video tutorial about the Single Post template, you'll get to know how to edit the single templates for each post, and how to edit them individually.

    Video tutorial.

    2) I've just added the following code at Elementor Site Settings > Custom CSS to fix the icons.

    .elementor-367 .elementor-element.elementor-element-cc2ccd7 .elementor-icon-list-item > a{
        font-size: 30px !important;
    }
    .elementor-367 .elementor-element.elementor-element-cc2ccd7 .elementor-icon-list-items.elementor-inline-items .elementor-icon-list-item {
        list-style-type: none !important;
    }

    Feel free to ask for anything you need.

    Kind Regards

    Hi guys,

    Thank you for your help but I'm afraid this doesn't appear to have fixed the issue. The situation is now also happening with any kind of list - I've noticed that we get bullet points now with the icon list elementor widget on any portfolio page.

    Please help - this is really frustrating. Instead of adding more CSS, can you point me to the original lines of code in the CSS so we can amend them at source, therefore sorting the entire site?

    Additionally guys,

    We have imported all the demo data when originally building the site however - we would like to use 'Sidebar Blog' as the main blog page and 'Single Standard' as the posts page. Neither of these appears to have been imported.

    Can you provide me with some template code or elementor layout instructions please so we can make them both - thank you :)

    Hi,

    It seems that the demo wasn't imported correctly, can I reset your site and re-import the demo data, but notice that after the reset, everything will be deleted?

    Is there any page that you've created that you don't want to lose because after the reset everything will be deleted? If you have any, please attach the URL here so I can save it on my device and then import it also.

    Feel free to ask for anything you need.

    Kind Regards

    PLEASE DO NOT under any circumstances reset the site. This is not an adequate solution.

    I'll try and work something out myself

  • Bobbafet replied

    Is there any chance you can just provide me with the code for the 'Sidebar Blog' and 'Single Standard' pages so I can create them OR can you provide me with instructions how to create them in elementor myself?

    Please do not reset the site.

    Hi,

    No, don't worry, as I'm not resetting your site without your permission.

    I'm just going to re-import the Sidebar Blog page manually, this won't do anything wrong to your site.

    I'll let you know when I'm done.

    Feel free to ask for anything you need.

    Kind Regards

    Hi, thank you. That seems to be great.

    Can you let me know how I go about the 'Single Post' blog post option as I'd like all single posts to look like that

    Bumping this please - I'm working to a deadline.

    I've literally spent half of the day trying to work out how to add a new blog post that looks like 'Single Post' - it's the most confusing system I have ever used. Nothing seems to work. When you get one thing to work - something else doesn't work.

    Please can you get back to me asap - this 'theme' (not really a theme, more just a lot of templates) looks lovely but... it's hugely complicated to use.

    All I want is a working blog - so it looks like a 'sidebar blog' and the posts to look like 'Standard' posts.

    Also.. once I have my first new Standard post up all looking lovely - how do I add a new one? I've followed the instructions that are provided in the theme and they do not seem to work. Any text you add in the Wordpress editor does not show up in the Elementor editor.

    Apologies if this message comes across as a little terse I'm just extremely frustrated, I like to work things out by myself and this is just turning into a nightmare.
