We use some functions which connect directly with Envato API to see if the user made the purchase or not, we know it's exhausting, but we're working on something easier which would activate it directly from your dashboard.
The reason why it didn't work is that other permissions were chosen as well, there should be only 3 and not others. (I'm sorry about this one too, it's the Envato API that requests this)
I realized that I had added other permissions. So I deleted the key, uninstalled the theme, and reinstalled with a new key with only the permissions you specified.
It still doesn't work. I don't get that error message any longer but clicking activate license just refreshed the page.
I can't do anything at all with this theme I just purchased and it is pretty frustrating.
