Sadly, I was not able to figure out how to make a Post default (the Demo pages were totally pointless)... I had to install the clone plug-in. It works, but it's not how it should be done. I got to the point where I was rebuilding from scratch.
Not sure how much longer I want to stick with it. Anyway;
How do I remove the image hover/zoom effect from the Home Page?
Home Page layout: is there a way to add Rows?
Long shot, but will the lightbox ever be able to snap or dissolve to the next image (instead of slide)? I don't think Elementor Pro has that. Failing that, this plug-in might work:
Is there a way to make a Post stick to the Home Page? Having them 'dated' just moves them chronologically of course, but what if I want to make a Post permanent.
Is there an option to add a cloud typography link in the css?
2) I don't know if I fully understood you, any way you can change the layout by going to the Content tab of the Post element, where you can choose how many posts per row you want to have, how many posts per page, you can also change the layout of the post.
3) The theme doesn't support that option, but I suggest you first take a look at a free plugin, you can find a good one and use it, before purchasing any other plugin.
4) Yes, you can do it, please go to the Post element > Query, and set the Source to Manual Selection, and then you can select which post you want to show there.
1. The Home Page: under layout, I only see Columns (beneath Skin). Didn't see Rows. I was hoping to create some grid-like rows with different number of columns (like an old html table).
I know it probably veers away from the Demo pages, but maybe it's possible with Elementor Pro? -----------
2. I know about adding custom fonts manually, but you don't allow for .otf files (nearest is .ttf). So I was asking if there's a place in the css for a cloud typography link.
To make the layout that you're wanting, you have to use the Metro layout, and then fix the columns for the post, I would be glad to help you with this, so please let me know if I can log into your site and fix the layout as you're asking.
"you have to use the Metro layout, and then fix the columns for the post" -- I was asking about the Home Page (not Post). Making sure your fix was for Home Page, not Post.
Just to be sure that we're on the same page, are you wanting to change the layout of the posts on the Homepage like you've explained, because I have no problem logging into your site and doing that.
On your homepage, I'm seeing that you have only 9 posts, while you've described a layout that will require 11 posts, however just tell me and I'll do it.
I am very sorry for the late reply, we were not working on the weekend.
As I've told you before, I'll help you with setting up this layout with the Metro layout, I've just started to work on it, but I can't finish it as you haven't uploaded all the posts on your site, the first 2 rows are finished, now all is up to the last row which at the moment has only two posts, if you could upload the other posts and their featured images so I could fix it, then I'll tell you to step by step how I've managed to achieve that layout.
Sorry, hadn't checked the front page earlier. I've added some dummy posts and I can see the newer layout. As it stands, I think my desired look isn't 100% possible, and that's fine. And I did see the Metro settings in Layout, so I get how that works now.
Anyway! I'm going to revert back to the older one... much simpler. But your help was appreciated as I saw how it was done.

Example:

3. As for the plugin, paid ones are not too costly. This is what I'm looking at (and it's made for WP):

Hi,
Correct, is it about the HOME Page. I was curious of it's possible to design it like on old HTML table (see attached).
I've seen Columns in Layout, but not Rows. Anyway, I doubt it would work - as how would each successive Post know which place to appear.
Thx
