As per title, is it possible to add category of the product above the title without modifying the code or can it be done in functions.php? We have brands that are categorised under the parent category called "Brand" and we would like to show it above the title.

Unfortunately not, you can only do that if you'll display the products via the Post element, but notice that you can no longer display the price of the product then, if you're going to do that, all you have to do is to go to the Query options of the Post Element and select Product post type there.
