    Hi!

    Im having problems intergrating the theme bifrost to my website. Been following your tutorials online, but since they require a "neuron" dashoard, im stuck. Ive installed every plugin i've been asked to install.

    Hi John,

    We're so sorry for the late reply, we were on holiday and today we got back working, we'll cover as much as possible from now.

    Happy new year, we wish you all the best in 2022.

    The video tutorials are about the themes that use the Neuron Builder plugin, but the Bifrost theme uses the Neuron Core plugin, so you won't see the Neuron options on the dashboard, the theme already has some options that can be found by going to Dashboard > Appearance > Customize.

    You can also take a look at the documentation of the theme, it will help you a lot.

    Feel free to ask for anything you need.

    Thank you!

    Ok, so I've been trying to decipher the documentation without any luck. What i want to do is probably quite simple: I want my start-page to be one of the portfolio-pages exemplified in the demos of the bifrost theme (either justify or metro). I can import the demo-themes, and then choose the portfolio to be my homepage under "Reading". But from there, im completely lost. 1: The metro theme does not adapt to the menu-row to the right (it blocks the view). 2: The justify portfolio doesn't show any empty exampl-images, like the metro does. 3: Where do I assign the content and links in these different portfolio-segments? Is it within elementor or WP?

    I really tried following the documentation, but since its just a giant list, its a bit tricky for me. Is there a tutorial regarding customization of the bifrost-theme, like with the other themes? It would be nice if i could get the tools to kind of understand the foundation of the theme so I can do these edits without consulting with every move ;)

    Thanks in advance! :)

    Hi John,

    Can you please provide me with your wp-admin, I will have a quick look to see what's going on.

    Would love to, but i have an intricate password-design that spans my entire company. Would it be possible for me to invite you as a team-member to my WP-admin isntead? Where you can design your own password i believe. For that i need an email-adress.

    Hi John,

    1) To fix the overlap of the header template on the page, I've added the following code at Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS.

    .page-id-20026 .l-main-wrapper,
    .page-id-20026 footer{
        padding-left: 27.9166666667rem;
    }

    2) I've just uploaded them as placeholder images, so please go to the Justify Portfolio page, and at the Media Gallery element change the images.

    https://ibb.co/fvxc2rF

    3) Everything that you'll see is made through Elementor, so you have to do the changes on Elementor.

    PS ... The boxes with the placeholder images in the Metro Layout page are the portfolio items, so you have to go to the portfolio items > edit portfolio item > featured image to change the images for each of them.

    https://ibb.co/9tn6fWQ

    https://ibb.co/h1QvZJF

    And in the Metro layout, you can choose which post to show by going o Item > Post.

    Thank you, will do, to enforce the already clear message over there!

    Immediately i ran into a little problem then. So, im able to change the image in the metro portfolio, but I'm having a hard time understanding how to set up a system so that i can "link" certain thinks in these images. For instance, ive changed one image to a guy with a head-light looking confused. Say i want to link to a page, or even better, a vimeo-link of the corresponding production (perhaps you know as one of those nice break-out embedded vimeo-films, when everything else is a little greyed). How do I do that?

    Hi John,

    In this case, it would be better to use the gallery element, but anyway, you can redirect the project(portfolio) items, so now all you have to do is to click on the project that you want to redirect, go to edit project > general settings > redirect > redirect URL and enter the Vimeo link there.

  • John Anderberg replied

    Oh, so my current metro-layout is not gallery-element-based?

    In any case, already tried that. And it didnt work. The image isnt "clickable", and when you click the text, you just come to an empty page that's named the same as the post, in this case "Side-Portfolio-v2"

    Hi,

    1) There's a trick that we can make, so after you finish setting up the gallery items, duplicate the element, then go to the Style tab and click on the Active Hover, so there will be the link visible on all gallery elements, then you have to add a lighter background-color so that the image will be transparent.

    I hope I was clear and did not mess anything up for you, but if you can't manage to do it by yourself, please complete the gallery for the desktop, and then I'll help you with the mobile.

    2) Just fixed it by updating the code that I've added before at Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS.

  • John Anderberg replied

    All right great thanks. Ill try that once I've finished editing all the fields.

    And now the cell-phone looks great. Now we just have to make some adjustment to the .. well what do you call that.. ah, yes the "tablet" version. It now has the same problem as the dekstop-version did. :) Attached the image

  • John Anderberg replied

    Oh yeah, btw, tested the work-around. Doesnt matter what color i pick on the hover setting. Its still white and not transperent...

  • John Anderberg replied

    And oh yeah, and regarding the dashboard - its not the tablet-setting! Its just if you have a little smaller desktop window, specifically a width of 1279 and lower

  • John Anderberg replied

    oh wait, regarding the transperent color! It works, just doesnt preview on elementor, but when previewed on my moile, it works. :)

  • John Anderberg replied

    Another question though, noticing that the title "timeweaver" gets squeezed, so that the r falls down. Im probably going to change that to a logo, but i just want to know, how I edit the boudnries of the different elements in the dashboard? Or maybe we refer to it as "Header"?

    Neuron replied

    Hi,

    How to edit the Header Template?

    In the theme you can either use the header that comes as default where you can upload the logo from Customizer and manage it from there or via Elementor where you can create headers and assign them to different pages, so please hover onto button Edit with Elementor and see if there appears a header template.

    https://prnt.sc/ppaaad

    Click onto the template and the editor for that template will be opened where you can easily edit it.

    Thank you!

    And i understand that you missed my other issue, since I posted so man y times, but: there's still an issue with the dashboard covering the gallery, when going under 1279 in width. :)

    Hi,

    Oh, sorry for that, I've just updated once again the code that I've added at Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS and now that's alright.

    /* Side Header Space */
    @media (min-width: 1040px) {
        .page-id-20026 .l-main-wrapper,
        .page-id-20026 footer,
        .page-id-29358 .l-main-wrapper,
        .page-id-29358 footer{
            padding-left: 27.9166666667rem;
        }
    }
