Via css or otherwise, how do i scale the images in a masonry grid portfolio? the current uploaded portfolio images on my site are 338 x 338 and are being rendered at 365 x 365 when i inspect elements. I'm hoping to make them all initially smaller at say 275 x 275 and scale from there. they just all look too big and I would love to find a way to initially scale them down by css. any help is appreciated.
If you are using thumbnail sizer after finishing the posts, you have to regenerate their thumbnails, follow the instructions below to regenerate thumbnails.
Hi . . I regenerated the thumbnails but that is not what i'm hoping to accomplish. Regardless of the thumbnail size for the images the Crate theme is always rendering them larger. Initially at 360x360 and then if you scale the page smaller they adjust which is expected behavior. I would like to scale down the portfolio images and the rollover text to just be smaller to begin with. I imagine this will have to be done with altering the .CSS code for portfolio settings but was hoping to find maybe an easier way? I've attached an image of the front of the website in case it is helpful in explaining what I'm trying to do.
When I inspect elements using the dev tools the thumbnails are all at the right size, etc . . they are just being rendered at a larger size of 360x360 by the theme. I've attached a screenshot of that called dev-photo. You can see the intrinsic size is 338 x 338 which is the thumbnail or image size in the media folder of the featured image for the portfolio post. I'm trying to get at the rendered size which you can see is 360 x 360. I just want to scale the grid down a bit so more items will be seen initially without scaling.
since these images are the featured image of each portfolio type post maybe there is a way to change it there for each post and have the grid scale down that way? perhaps I'm missing something simple here.
