Portfolio does not show entries

After installation and setup, the portfolio page does not show entries outside of the demo entries. I cannot get the demo entries to not show, and I cannot get my portfolio work to show up. The only thing you see is "All posts in this taxonomy." with no sort of information to indicate where the theme is looking for portfolio entries. Nothing in the supplied documentation or ticket KB seems to point to an actionable solution.

I use this page to market myself, and I am currently seeking work. I need to have this up and running as soon as possible, as any downtime means an inability to market myself. If I cannot get this working, I will refund the theme, as I can't afford to waste time working with or money paying for things that don't work as advertised.

Please assist in any way you can. Thank you.

    Hi,

Can you please take a look at the documentation on how the portfolio page works, you'll find there everything you need? So when you open the documentation navigate to the Pages > Portfolio.

Feel free to ask for anything you need.

    Hi,

Have you tried the documentation, has it helped you?

If you find it hard to edit your portfolio page by looking at the documentation, please go to your portfolio page and click to edit the Portfolio element, and at the Functionality tab, you will find an option to build the query, so there you can select the categories that you want to show on your portfolio page, and after you select them you need to click on sortable option so the filters will display.

I've tried the documentation, it doesn't really address my concerns or offer any guidance on how to fix things.

From what I can tell, the theme created a second portfolio tab in Wordpress, and in that portfolio, there are the 18 default theme entries. It sees this portfolio as what it's drawing the information from, not the previously-used portfolio location.

How do I get the theme to point back to the original portfolio collection? There doesn't seem to be an option anywhere to force that override.

Went looking into the code of the theme itself, maybe you can help me figure out how to shift that content from one to the other.

I've now exported the prior portfolio content to XML, and reimported it through a plugin into the new portfolio folder, and it STILL doesn't cause any of my 55 portfolio entries to show up, which means that either this theme is pulling information from somewhere that completely ignores settings, or something isn't being seen correctly. In either case, I have spent over twelve hours trying to un-ruin my portfolio, which has set me back tremendously, as it seems I will have to re-do my entire portfolio in an effort to fix what this theme has broken.

If you aren't able to assist with this issue, I'll go ahead and issue the refund request. Not trying to force your hands at all, it's just I have things to do, and I can't keep applying for jobs if my portfolio isn't working, so you've got about three hours before I have to call it a wash and completely rebuild my site.
