I'm trying to locate the area in word press to change and alter my "Filters:" portfolio category navigation. Currently it is "Filters: All ID Print Web Illust" and I want to change it to "Filters: All ID Print Web Motion". I forgot where this was? Is it part of the  WPBakery Plugin? Thank you!

    Hi Wallace,

Please edit the page with WPBakery Page Builder, after that click onto the portfolio element.

I want to update my category list from the current "Date" pull down option to set this list to the "Menu Order" so I am not limited to how the items are placed in by date.

Right now the list of categories are in this order: "+ID, +Motion + Illust, +Print, +Web;" I'm trying to put this list in this order: "+ID,  +Print, +Web, +Motion + Illust;" so I can put the list in "Menu order". Whenever I try to do this manually in "Build query" mode and I delete the "+Motion + Illust" to place at the end the option is only to place a new block that says "Motion + Illust(portfollio_category)". for some reason it adds "(portfollio_category)" to the end of it. Will this "(portfollio_category)" show up on the webpage? Is there an easier way to manipulate this lists order other than deleting the on of the categories off the list and retyping it? Thanks.

    Hi Wallace,

I am sorry for the late reply, we did not work on the weekend.

Actually, the order in the WPBakery element won't affect it, the real thing that will affect is the order in the WordPress Dashboard.

You can re-arrange them via this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/taxonomy-terms-order/

Make sure to click save changes on the element after you've changed the order of the taxonomies(Categories).

Feel free to ask for anything you need.

    Kind Regards

Is there a way to lock the order of the homepage menu? or is that going to change if I change the order of the categories?
I want to keep the current menu order: ID,  Print, Web, Motion+Illust. I just wanted to solidify incase I had a newer project that I want to showcase at the top/beginning of the portfolio page link list. For example: say I just loaded a motion project and I wanted it to be the first category (where the adaptable project currently is) would it change the menu?
    Thanks!

  • Wallace Lamb replied

ok, I have a question. In WP Bakery: Portfolio settings/Functionality/Build query...
It says order Taxonomies (menu) by "Date" on the pull down. Maybe I don't understand the date of which file this is based upon...
I did a test and put a newer date on one of the portfolio pages (one that was multimedia) and it moved it to the category top, but it didn't alter the Taxonomies (menu) order? I thought there was a correlation? Thanks. I am just trying to clarify I appreciate it.

    Hi,

I'm sorry for the late reply, somehow I missed your ticket,

It will order portfolios and portfolio categories based on the date they were created, so the latest post will be shown first.

If you want to keep that order that you've mentioned, you can download the following plugin then you can go to Portfolio Category and change the order of the categories, but you also need to go to the Portfolio Settings > Functionality > Build Query and set it to Menu Order.

    Hi,

The plugin Settings Page allows you to configure your Envato API Personal Token. This API Token is generated from build.envato.com and will allow WordPress to securely receive item updates.

    Hi Wallace Lamb,

Please make sure that you've checked the article below about the API token.

So there you'll find the solution of Authenticating with OAuth.

  • Wallace Lamb replied

ok, I appreciate you doing that. But I am still having those: "The OAuth Personal Token could not be verified" and "Failed to query total number of items in API response" errors??? Any idea on that? With these out, I will not be able to auto-update.

    Thanks!

    Hi Wallace Lamb,

The problem can be solved by ensuring the following permissions are enabled.

    • View and search Envato sites
    • Download your purchased items
    • List purchases you've made

And, can you please tell me if the problem was solved after we've updated the theme for you.

Feel free to ask for anything you need.

  • Wallace Lamb replied

The original problem of a filter conflict I feel is solved. Thank you. The other problem of these errors that will impede auto update it still an issue. I have ensured that these permission are enabled (you can see on the token screen captures that I loaded seven posts down on April 23rd). It would be great if I could find a solution to this. I appreciate it.

    Hi,

As we could see from your previous reply, it isn't giving you access to your account, so those are the required permissions that need to be enabled, but as you've told that you've already done that, can you please make sure that you've followed all the steps as mentioned on the article below:

Ensure the following permissions are enabled:

    • View and search Envato sites
    • Download your purchased items
    • List purchases you've made
