I am using the masonry portfolio home page of the Dendrite theme. When I navigate from page to page, (ex. 1 to 2 or 4 to 3) the portfolio items populate slowly and sometimes not at all. Also, on page 2 of the homepage, the it loads in html format.

1) I would suggest you three things about how to increase the speed of your website.
- Right after install go to general settings and enable page cache.
- https://wordpress.org/plugins/autoptimize/
2) Please go to Dashboard > Settings > Reading and select the homepage there.
