I'm struggling to organise my portfolio items. How do I sort them into a set order? Also I can't get new items at the bottom to provide the square thumbnail image that all of the others do - I've set a custom thumbnail on the resize tool of 500x500 but It only seems to affect older portfolio items

I'm struggling to organise my portfolio items. How do I sort them into a set order? Also I can't get new items at the bottom to provide the square thumbnail image that all of the others do - I've set a custom thumbnail on the resize tool of 500x500 but It only seems to affect older portfolio items
Hi,
1) To order you can use the following plugin.
- https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-post-order/
2) If the size of the thumbnail is larger than the actual size of the image it can't be resized.
If the image size is new, make sure to regenerate the thumbnails.
