I would like to know how to remove the coloured bar that cancels out the highlighted word in the main menu, and have the word highlight in a colour instead.
In our Amartha theme, you can use the default header or a header template that you've created, so if you're using a header template you can remove the hover color by going to edit the Nav Menu at the style tab and at the hover options remove the color. To make it highlighted I can help you with some CSS code.
Hello, thank you for your reply. If I would like to use the default header and not a header template that I've created, how would I remove it? Some code for removing it and instead making the word colored and bold would be wonderful.

Hi Revvsta,
Can you please provide me with your wp-admin, I will have a quick look and then I will send you the code to achieve those changes.
