Responsive images not working

    Hello,

The theme is nice and simple. I bought it because it claims to be faster.

I have wordpress 5.4.2, and installed a recent version of your theme. It's good you use srcset for img, but unfortunately it doesn't work. As you can see on my fresh installed site, it always load the highest resolution. I've tried using incognito and cache disabled on Chrome and Firefox (my screen resolution 1600x900 px, scale 100%).

If you inspect the first image you'll see five values for srcset, from 300w to 1920w, but could you check the sizes attribute?

The current area where image is loaded is 360 x 200 pixels, but browser loaded the 1920 x 1067 px image. Please imagine the huge load if I insert 12 images on the main page/portfolio . The image should be responsive: when area is 360x200, browser should use 768x427 jpg image; when area is larger, browser should use a larger corresponding resolution image.

Please fix this ASAP, as I cannot use it this way.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I am sorry for the late reply.

That's how WordPress handles the image sizes, you can try any of the plugins below on the list, I would suggest you optimole.
