I've imported templates BUT they look nothing like the Bifrost previews. Am I doing this wrong? See attached.

Also if you could point me in the direction of how I update the portfolio pages I would be very grateful.

Squarespace is so much easier to work with than this and I fear I may have to go back to it.

    Hi Graham,

I am very sorry for the late reply, we did not work on the weekend.

I'm sorry for the misunderstanding, Bifrost is quite easy to work, you got familiarize with Squarespace, but with our help, you'll understand it properly. Belive me, Elementor and Bifrost will become Joy to work with, the possibilities are endless in WordPress.

It seems like you have already fixed the menu issue, the main menu location should be ticked in Appearance > Menus.

Here are some tips from our team to start with.

    1) Edit the header.

In the theme you can either use the header that comes as default where you can upload the logo from Customizer and manage it from there or via Elementor where you can create headers and assign them to different pages, so please hover onto button Edit with Elementor and see if there appears a header template. https://prnt.sc/ppaaad

Click onto the template and the editor for that template will be opened where you can easily edit it.

    - Video Tutorials about header builder.

    2) Edit the portfolio items.

The images that are displayed on the portfolio element are portfolio items, they are linked through categories to the portfolio element. The images that are displayed for the portfolio item are placed on featured image of each portfolio item.

The following example shows a posts element in which are attached 'Apps', 'Development' and 'Editing' categories, which means all the portfolio items that have assigned one of these categories will be directly displayed on that page.

There is also the Metro Layout Type in which the posts are manually added via query field, the reason why they are manually added there is because of their columns flexibility.

    3) Import Slider Revolution Templates

    1. From the WordPress dashboard go to the Slider Revolution menu item. http://prntscr.com/ohbe0y
    2. Click on the Manual Import. http://prntscr.com/ohbeb7
    3. Inside the theme > includes > demo-importer > revslider, you will find the sliders that are pre-built with our theme, they also are in the dummy_content folder of the theme package.
    4. Drag & drop them into the Revolution Panel. http://prntscr.com/ohbf9g
    5. They will be available to use via the element Slider Revolution in Elementor. http://prntscr.com/ohbg49

    4) Make the website faster.

    1) Compress images to lower resolutions and smaller image sizes.

    2) Use a cacher(we use w3 total cacher). https://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/

    - Right after install go to general settings and enable page cache.

    3) Install autoptimize to combine all CSS files in one file and all JS file sin one file, just like we do in our demo.

    Kind Regards
