Hi,

Is there a way to add a PDF or PDF viewer on a portfolio item page?

I'm thinking to have images vertical as the Avebury page and then a PDF viewer with horizontal viewing in the vertical images column.

Or just a link to the PDF and the browser will handle how to show the PDF.

But its not possible to add anything in the right image column in Elementor.
Its locked except the area under the headline.

But then all other stuff is gone except header and footer.

I just want to add a PDF or a text link or a movie in the image gallery.
I think there should be more file types to select when adding images in the item gallery.

Don't know... it does not show up in the template list under saved templates.

No it does not appear in Elementor neither.

Is there any wrong with the zip-file?

It became some problem with the file after download.
When I choose to open link in new tab it was downloaded and unzipped.

Just click on the link did not unzip the file and it seemed damage.

Now the file was correctly imported and I can see the template in the list.

Probably coz of the double file extension on the file it was not acting correctly.

The template does not look as the original page, have not same CSS and will behave differently.
I use Avebury https://neuronthemes.com/bifrost/portfolio/avebury/.

But its not possible to make a page thats same as the original page where all the content is set in the same way in the form but just the possibility to add an Elementor element in the right image column?

Same as now with the text field in the left column where you have to add the text content with Elementor.

I understand that this is outside of the theme but isn't it just to move the existing content
area to the right image column? I don't need current content text area thats edited in Elementor.

Using the previous template will just be a hassel to get same behavior and look as other pages.

Its a few details that will be different that I found out right away.
Image animations, margins... okay that can probably be done by coping CSS classes from original page and paste them in Elementor.

So then all content have to be set in Elementor and not in the portfolio settings, texts and images, tabs et cetera?
It would be preferable to add all as now in settings and just have an Elementor widget area in the image column to add certain files like movies, PDF et cetera.

I added the movie with Elementors standard video widget.
That player looks good.

Then I installed PDF Embedder plugin and added the PDF short code with the short code widget in Elementor.
The viewer looks okay compared to many others.

All together it looks simple and not too many strange UI design things going on.
