There's an known issue, which happens time to time. Can you please check if you have only one footer template? If yes, please create just a blank one, publish it and then re-select your template on the Customizer.
That should fix it, you can later remove the blank footer template.

I have created a custom footer using elementor. I have gone to Customize -> Footer -> General -> Selected template and choose my template.
Nothing shows up at the bottom of the page.
