We can't keep them active without they looking at least a little better & aligned. If that's not possible at the moment then you might have to give me css code to make category text non-clickable.
It will allow you to add redirections, so you add one for each category. For example for Branding, you add a new page add Branding as query and the redirection will send you directly to Branding.

How do i edit portfolio category pages?
Portfolio page looks amazing but portfolio category page looks horrible.

There's a thing that you can do with the categories and make them as you wish, it will take a process but you can manage them as you want.
You can install the following plugin.
