    Hi,

First off, I hope you guys had a great Christmas, and I wish you all a Happy New Year in advance! All the best for 2020.

I would like some advice on how to make the image captions appear on Portfolio pages. I have filled in some text (see screenshot), but it is not appearing in the page. I have looked through the php code of the Portfolio Item (vertical) template, and from what I can see all the photos are embedded in the page via the "the_content()" tag. And the Title, Caption and Description are not being shown.

Could you advise on how to amend this? Thanks a lot!

    Ric

Hi again! Really sorry, you can forget the request in the message below. I wrote too soon! In fact I have a different problem : my client has asked me for a special type of template for some of his Portfolio items. I created and saved the template, and it shows up in my list of My Templates OK.

However, I cannot seem to be able to choose this template and apply it to each Portfolio item. I only have a choice of "Side Portfolio, Vertical Portfolio, and "Elementor". However, when I choose Elementor, I do not get a sub-menu allowing me to go and choose the specific template I created.

    See here : https://prnt.sc/qhulmp

Am I doing this wrong? Please advise!

    Thanks, Ric

    Hi Ric,

Thank you very much, we're really enjoying our holidays, I wish you an amazing year(2020) and happy holidayssmile.png

Unfortunately you cannot choose the portfolio item type except these three, there are two ways to have the same portfolio item layout.

    1) By saving the portfolio item(if it is created completely by Elementor) as template and re-using it via the folder icon at the bottom.

    1. Go to the page and edit with Elementor.
    2. Next to the Save/update button there is a small arrow button. ...
    3. Now click save as template.
    4. Give the template a name.
    5. Now go to the wp dashboard and go to my templates, there you can edit the template and make it ready to be imported in any portfolio item via the folder icon at the bottom.

    2) Duplicating the portfolio item(this will work on two cases, elementor and non elementor).

Feel free to ask for anything you need.

    Kind Regards
