In 1.4 of Proton we have introduced the WPBakery Page Builder which is a page builder where you can create post or pages more easy, simply by drag & dropping the elements, before that we used page templates for example on the right you could choose between Portfolio - Blog - Contact and so on, it seems somehow you've selected the page template to Portfolio and so the post displayed via the page settings. https://prnt.sc/pzqjjs - I've changed that to default template(works best with page builder) and everything is set correctly.
The reason why we're not removing these page templates is because when early users not to lose content through their update.

My blog posts are showing up on my home page which is a portfolio page. There are no conflicting categories.
