Template Footer

Hi, i'm using custom template header & footer built using elementor.

In the Customizer, already set header to use template and set the header template i want to use. Similar goes to Footer as well, i set the template to use as footer.

By right all page will inherit the header & footer settings by default right? unless I set different settings other than 'inherit' per page. correct?

Unfortunately, the inherit function not working for Footer page option. If I select inherit, the page wont show any footer, even though already set in custommizer to use Template. In order for the page to use Template footer, I need to set for each page to footer type "template". I think this is a bug, please check it.

The template header works just fine. Any page that use header type "inherit" will follow whatever header settings i set in the customizer.

    Hi,

Sometimes there is a buggy issue when there is only one template, so if you have only one footer template, please create just one more(you can leave it blank), publish it and re-select your choice on the Footer Option.

Let me know if it works after that.

    Kind Regards

Need to select & save the page few times to make sure the footer template being used. But I need it, when you create a new page, all the header/footer settings already set to "inherit" which they should follow whatever I set in the theme customizer. Header is fine. Only the issue the footer does not follow (inherit) customizer setting.

Need to set the footer option manually on every new page which is very time consuming (plus the footer bug - need to save/publish > preview > resave/republish again to make sure it works). Please come up with solution for the main issue which is "inherit" should automatically follow customizer settings.

    Hi,

Can you please provide me with your wp-admin, I will check it quickly, so you don't need to re-select or select i it individually on each page.

Please make sure to tick private on the reply.

It's currently setup on localhost. using Ampps with php 7.1.

But as you said before, the footer option for template is buggy. Please test it on your side and tell me how to fix it.

The dummy footer still not solving the problem.

    To replicate the real issue:

    1. Set in customizer to use Elementor footer template. Can set header to use template as well.
    2. Then create a new page (all the page option should set as 'inherit' by default)
    3. Add some content using elementor, then publish it.
    4. Preview or check the page on front end > footer is not showing.
    5. To temporarily fix, need to set manually on footer page option to use template > then save.
    6. Now check front end should be ok.

Now after sometimes, editing other pages, then I came back to any of the page and update the content in elementor > publish > footer is missing again...

Need to go back to wp page option and click the 'update' page button to make the footer showing.

I think if you fix the real issue above, other problem with the footer option bug will not happen.

    Hi,

    I think there's a misunderstanding. Here's the solution.

So, you have only one footer template on your back-end, that's right. Add just one more and publish it, it can be dummy template, but it has to be published and footer template.

After that, go to Appearance > Customize > Footer  and re-select your new template(blank one), click publish and re-select your old template and publish it, that will show up correctly in all pages.

    Kind Regards
