How to add new portfolio pieces with template

    Hi,

    I'm trying to add a few new portfolio pieces with template (side portfolio v3), but it is unclear how to do this.

    When I try to create a new portfolio piece, I am confronted with this error: the content area was not found in your page.

    Hi Brennon,

    So you can't edit the portfolio item right? Please see if the portfolio type is enabled on the Elementor > Settings. https://prnt.sc/pp7964

    If you want to add them to the page, please read below.

    The images that are displayed on the portfolio element are portfolio items, they are linked through categories to the portfolio element. The images that are displayed for the portfolio item are placed on featured image of each portfolio item.

    The following example shows a posts element in which are attached 'Apps', 'Development' and 'Editing' categories, which means all the portfolio items that have assigned one of these categories will be directly displayed on that page.

    One more thing is the Metro Layout Type in which the posts are manually added via query field, the reason why they are manually added there is because of their flexibility for columns.

    Hi,

    I am not able to add a new portfolio with a pre-existing template.

    For example, if I want to create a new portfolio item with template "side-portfolio-3," I am not sure how to.

    I can change the content of side-portfolio-3... but I want another new side-portfolio-3, and I can't seem to do that.

    Hi Brennon,

    You can do that via two options, duplicating the portfolio items via this plugin.

    Or saving the portfolio as template and re-using it via the template library.

    Also one more thing, make sure that Portfolio type is enabled on Elementor > Settings.

    You cannot use the plugin to clone a portfolio item - only a post.

    I can't create a new portfolio item in Elementor without the error: the content area was not found in your page (see original post's attachement).

    Portfolio type is enabled on Elementor > Settings by default.

    Hi Brennon,

    1) Make sure to enable the duplicate post for portfolio type. That can be achieved by going at Settings > Duplicate Post. https://prnt.sc/pqo1sv

    2) Sometimes the Elementor throws an issue when the post is not published, so edit the portfolio item and publish it so then you can edit it with Elementor.
