Woocommerce: Sorry the content area was not found in your page

    Hi neuron!

This is my question: I just installed Woocommerce on my website, but when I try to edit the "shop" page with Elementor these two warnings appear (see attachments):

First: The Preview Could Not Be Loaded

Second: Sorry, the content area was not found in your page. You must call 'the_content' function in the current template, in order for Elementor to work on this page.

    How can I fix it?

    Thanks

    Silvia

    Hi Silvia,

Unfortunately the shop page cannot be edited with Elementor, because it belongs to archive and archives cannot be edited with Elementor. You can either unassign it as shop page and create a shop page completely with Elementor and with posts element or change the settings through options at Appearance > Customize > Shop.

Feel free to ask for anything you need.

    Kind Regards

    Hi neuron!

How can unassign the default shop page of Woocommerce and replace it with a new shop page created with Elementor?

I would like the cart page, the checkout page, and the account page recognize this new page as the Woocommerce store page.

Thank you so much guys :)

    Hi Silvia,

Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Products. https://prnt.sc/p8qy51

Well, there's an option at page settings > general to redirect that page to another page, we do that in our demo, the default shop page to a normal page.

Feel free to ask for anything you need.

I tried, but there is another problem: the layout of the new page crashes.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks

    Hi Silvia,

Well, somehow the page has crashed, but when you select it as archive of shop, you won't be able to edit it with Elementor.

So you can have two different options.

    1. Let it unassigned and simply use it with Elementor, if you need a page to be as archive for cart and other things, simply create the page and go to its settings and redirect to the other page. This is how you create the pages: https://prnt.sc/paadvm and the redirect can be enabled to Page Settings > General.
    2. Generate the page and start using it as static with the options that are located in Appearance > Customize > Shop. https://prnt.sc/paadvm (I would not suggest).

    Kind Regards
