Category filter not showing on portfolio

    Hello,

I have a problem with the theme: the categories are not showing up on the portfolio page. I had double checked that the "sorting" option is on and there's a bunch of portfolio categories with entries so it should theoretically work.

A few more things I've noticed and which might help with troubleshooting:

    - On your demo home page the category filter does show up, but only displays "ALL" and no entried show up: http://www.andreaspasqualini.com/home/

If I edit the page and select a few categories, the entries show up, but the filter bar disappears.

    - At the beginning I had this werid bug where the portfolio page would display the content from the first portfolio entry instead of the content of the portfolio page itself. I had to make a new page from scratch to solve this.

    Some more info:

    Wordpress version: 5.2.2
    PHP version: 5.6.32
Plugins installed: only the ones that were required by your theme

Let me know if you need more info!

    Hi,

I am very sorry for the late reply, we were not working on the weekend.

You need to select the categories for the query, you can select all them, because on that way the query will be build and filters will be displayed.

No problem wasn't expecting an immediate answer! You do well not to work on the weekend!

That I understand and in fact I see that it's working now. I have to admit that I was a bit confused by this sentence:

" […] if you want to get all posts do not select any."

Which is below the field where you add the categories.

To me this reads like "if you do not select any, it's like adding all the categories to the list", which was what I wanted anyway.

Now there seems to be a little bug here still. But it's not happening all the time. I do want to display all the categories, not just the 3 you have selected. But sometimes, when I add all categories, the filter will disappear. This was the problem I initially had.

Weirdly, after removing "projects" and "portraits", saving the page, then adding one category at a time, I finally got it to work.

It's weird, but it works now! Thanks a lot for your support!
