I have a page that contains a portfolio metro widget and when I replace the featured image for any giving portfolio image, it changes the formatting. Currently, the portfolio metro is built up of a bunch of squares but my featured images have an image ratio of 16:9. I cannot seem to find a way to have the featured image display as a ‘thumbnail’ image, which in theory is a cropped version with a square ratio.
I’m very new to Wordpress and have reached a road block! I looked online and saw there was a plugin called simple image sizes, but I don’t seem to have the option in there to control the featured image size/ratio either.
There's a tab in the element which enables/disabled the thumbnail resizer. Simply edit the metro element and on the thumbnail tab you can disable the resizer.

Hi Richard,
