Hi. I have a number of Bifrost problems I’m unable to solve by myself. I hope you can help me resolve these issues.
1. Firstly, is there some kind of instruction manual, or YouTube videos you’ve assembled to help your customers build their websites with your theme? I discovered the “Documentation” for Bifrost on Theme Forest, but this proved only to be a glossary, and very little help in figuring out the steps to take to put a site together. I’ve fumbled my way through the process with a lot of trial and error, but a clear set of instructions would have saved me days. If there’s a manual that I haven’t come across could you please direct me to it.
2. My home page is “Portfolio Wide Metro”. For the first 12 image thumbnails, they're large and small, just like your demo. Beyond 12 thumbnails however, the rest become an identical size. This occurs with either pagination option, and even if no pagination is selected. Could you please offer me a solution to this. I want the large and small mix to continue throughout all thumbnails.
3. There’s one other glitch I’m having with the "Portfolio Wide Metro” grid. When I choose the “Show More” button as my pagination option, the first 12 portfolio thumbnails repeat themselves, rather than the next 12 thumbnails appearing. The same thing keeps happening each time I press the “Show More” button. The first 12 thumbnails are in an infinite loop. I have approximately 30 portfolio items correctly selected in the “Query” menu in Elementor. They all show up successfully if I select the number 30 for “Posts Per page”, but not when I choose to paginate. Could you please offer me a solution to this glitch.
4. I’m using an Overlay Header. Could you please tell me a way to disable the black underlines that appear while hovering over menu items? I’ve set a hover colour, and due to this the black lines are distracting and unnecessary.
5. My portfolio items use "Side Portfolio v5” as their template. Everything works as it should, but I can’t find a way to change the background colour of this page. I’ve tried absolutely everything to no avail. Here’s a list of what hasn’t worked;
There’s no option to change it in the “Customize” menu.
It can’t be changed in Elementor.
There’s no colour option in the settings when I open any of the portfolio items in Wordpress.
There’s no way to change the background colour when I open “Portfolio Item Side” (page) or it’s parent “Portfolio Page” (page) in Wordpress or Elementor.
Can you please tell me an easy way to change the background colour of "Portfolio Items”.
6. I’m using the Contact Form that came with the theme. I can change the colour of the body copy of the form using the “Customise” menu, but I can’t see a way to change the colour of the lines or the “Send Message” button. Could you please tell me a way to achieve this.
Apologies for asking so much. I hope I haven’t made too much work for you today. Thanks in advance.
Sure, feel free to ask for anything that you need.
1) Unfortunately we don't have any video that explains how to create stuff in Bifrost, the version 2.0 is coming with a lot of new features and new demos, we'll try to add some video explanation how the things works, but for the moment we don't have any specific date for that.
The videos that I have mention in the ThemeForest belongs to the header builder of Elementor.
The theme is built via the most powerful page builder now for the moment Elementor. You can check on youtube lots of stuff that is explained from people all around.
I would suggest you to import the demo which is located at Appearance > One Click Demo Importer. That works best on a fresh install WordPress, please do not hesitate to ask here for whatever you need, we'll be pleased to help you.
2) When you add the portfolio items via repeater, you can adjust the column for each portfolio item. http://prntscr.com/ogfa98
3) Unfortunately, the pagination does not work in the metro, all of that because of the metro layout and its repeater, we add there manually the posts so the query is not build at all. We're sorry for that, we have already fixed(removed the pagination when metro is selected) in 2.0. You can have the Masonry or the FitRows for the layout.
4) This was also in our checklist for the features and improvements, until we update, please add the following style in Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS.
header ul li a:hover,
header ul li a {
-webkit-box-shadow: none !important;
box-shadow: none !important;
}
The following lines will completely disable the underline in active and in the hover of menu items.
5) As I said before for the update, we tried to keep Bifrost very simple and not make it confuse, but since Bifrost is growing and people are asking new features, we'll be sure to include as much as we can in 2.0.
First you need to install a custom plugin, the plugin allows you to add extra body classes to different pages.
Hi. Thank you so much for your prompt and thorough support. I really appreciate it. You offer fantastic service.
I attempted to resolve my issues with your suggestions, and I was successful with some of the changes. There are a few answers you gave that I couldn’t implement due to my beginner’s knowledge on coding and web design. Please keep in mind I need step by step instructions on anything to do with CCS or anything that goes beyond the menus of Wordpress and Elementor. Apologies; I should have made that clear in my first round of questions.
I was saddened to learn "Portfolio Metro" can’t be used beyond 12 Portfolio Projects. I chose your theme specifically because of this feature, but I’ve switched over to "Portfolio Wide Scale” in order to be able to use pagination.
Unfortunately though, I’m still having the same problem where the pagination (set to "15 posts per page") repeats the first 15 thumbnails over and over in a loop, rather than displaying the next 15 thumbnails. Could you please offer me a solution on how to fix this glitch. If it requires CSS please remember I’m a complete beginner with web and coding and need the steps spelt out in detail.
While trying to edit "Portfolio Wide Scale” in Elementor, I noticed there seems to be a glitch in the styling options for the pagination “Show More” button. There’s an option to change both the colour and the background colour. The “Colour" option successfully changes the text colour of the button, but the “Background Colour” option doesn’t seem to do anything at all. This is the same in both the “Normal” tab and the “Hover” tab. Could you please let me a know how I can change the background colour of the “Show More” button in both the normal state and the hover state.
Please refer to my “Question 5” from the first time I posted in this ticket. Thank you very much for letting me know about the “Custom Body Class” plugin which I downloaded and activated. With my limited knowledge of web, this is as far as I got unfortunately. Could you please tell me exactly what I need to do in order to change the background colour of my Portfolio Item pages. How exactly do I use the plugin? Where do I paste the code you provided? Where do I specify my colour choice? Apologies for making work for you with my lack of knowledge.
Please refer to my “Question 6” from the first time I posted in this ticket.
Firstly, am I right in assuming I paste this custom CSS in “Customize>Additional CSS”? And after that, do I change”your_color” to the colour I want the lines and button of the contact form to be?
I tried doing this and I didn’t get the result I was hoping for. Only the text of the “Send Message” button changed to the colour I prescribed. I want to change the colour of the lines, the colour of the “Send Message” text and button outline, and I want to change the colour of the button and text on hover. Could you please tell me how can I accomplish this?
Thank you once again for your time. I’m so sorry to have so many questions. Have a great day/night.
1) As I said before, I'm sorry but the pagination cannot be implemented in the metro layout, since there is no query, only the manual that you have to add the posts one by one via the repeater on the query tab. You can check also in our demo, there is no pagination at metro pages.
2) I will add it as bug on the next update, until we release the update, please change it via Custom CSS in Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS.
Hi. Thank you so much for your answers to my questions. I managed to get most things working with the help of your information. There’s still a few things I need assistance with though. I hope you don’t mind.
There seems to be a misunderstanding. After your first round of answers, I understand clearly there is no pagination option for "Portfolio Metro". Because of this, I took your advice and changed my portfolio to “Portfolio Images” (also referred to as "Portfolio Wide" in the theme’s Wordpress pages, and “Masonry” in Elementor’s "Layout Type” dropdown menu). This is the portfolio where all the thumbnails are the same sized squares. It’s the same portfolio used in your “Creative Designer” demo. I’m definitely using a Masonry Portfolio. The pagination doesn’t function correctly for this type of portfolio either.
As I wrote previously in this ticket (Question1); "I’m still having the same problem where the pagination (set to "15 posts per page") repeats the first 15 thumbnails over and over in a loop, rather than displaying the next 15 thumbnails. Could you please offer me a solution on how to fix this glitch. If it requires CSS please remember I’m a complete beginner with web and coding and need the steps spelt out in detail.”
Could you please answer this question again, keeping in mind I’m referring to a Masonry Portfolio, and NOT a Metro Portfolio.
I can’t see a way to customise the order of Portfolio Item thumbnails in my Masonry Portfolio Grid. I’ve carefully explored the “Content”, “Style” and Advanced” tabs of my portfolio page in Elementor, and no such option seems to exist. Could you please tell me how to control the order/position of the portfolio thumbnails within the Masonry Portfolio Grid?
Please refer to “Question 4” from my previous post in this ticket;
Thank you for the custom CSS for the contact form. I managed to change the colours of every option your code allowed. The only thing missing was the option to change the colour of the black lines. Could please let me know what code I need to add to do this?
Please refer to “Question 2” from my previous post in this ticket. Thank you for the custom CSS to change the colour and hover colour of the “Show More” pagination button. The code worked perfectly. Could you please tell me what code I need to add to change the colour of the black rotating circular arrows (when loading).
Thanks in advance for any further assistance you can offer. I very much appreciate your time and effort.
I am very sorry for the late reply, we were not working on the weekend.
1) The load more usually works in the normal grid, can you please see if your permalinks are set to post name, at Settings > Reading. Also, please provide me with an URL, so I can check what is going on.
2) Unfortunately you need the help of a third-party plugin for that.

So, you add for example a dark color class for some pages and the following output of css becomes like the one below.
If you want to change the color of the default header.
6) Sure, all you need is a simple Custom CSS.
Feel free to ask for anything you need.

4) No worries, I thought you meant for the color.
And for the hover.
You can remove the unwanted CSS properties.
