Hi, can you give instructions on how to make a portfolio/portfolio archive the static home page? the only general instructions i can find are for WordPress in general, which say to set a page as a "portfolio template", but I don't have that page attribute option in this theme.

    thanks!

    Abigail

    Hi Abigal,

I am very sorry for the late reply, we were not working on the weekend.

The home page can be set at SettingsĀ > Reading > Front Page, you can set any page to the front page.

Feel free to ask for anything you need.

    Kind Regards

Hi, no problem and thank you. that doesn't work. portfolio isn't a page, it is its own thing...? in any case, it does not come up as an option under the settings/reading/front page menu.

It isn't a page? There is no such archive for the portfolios in Arkhitekton, can you please provide me with an URL, so I can check what is going on.

    Kind Regards

No...as you say, it's an archive. other themes let you link to the archive, and/or set it as the homepage.

my URL is augustinteriorsct.com but not sure what you'd be checking there.

also, the URL/portfolio doesn't take visitors anywhere... on my site it takes them back home. so there's really nowhere in Arkhitekton that you can just have all your portfolio projects?

Well, you're right, but we haven't added it. The reason why it is sending you back to home is because that page doesn't exists, you can create a page and call it simply portfolio, so you can assign it on the front page option.

You can easily place a posts element onto it and don't enter any query onto it, simply select the posts type at 'portfolio' and the latest posts will be displayed.

    Kind Regards
