1) To apply the grid column in your homepage, edit your page with WPBakery Page Builder and add the portfolio element there, the settings will be opened and you'll be able to change the columns to 4.
How do I apply the 4 grid column to my homepage?
Also how to a put and full browser width image under the header?
Do you have short codes to control the grids?
Do I have to make custom templates?

I've added this in Appearance > Theme Editor >
