Thank you. I don't need to move the image, the image is too large a resolution for the screen. For instance I can see about 10% of the image! Do I need to limit the px for tablet to rescale the image for landscape on a tablet?
Can you please tell me which section is that? Also, please check all the options the background-size: cover will make it able to show correctly, the position also. If the image doesn't fit in small devices, it must be from the large dimension of it.

My website works well in every format but when I turn the iPad into landscape the hero image zooms right in and I can't see the full image.

My hero image works perfectly on every device and orientation expect landscape on an iPad. It will zoom into the top left hand corner by x1000.
