Hi, I see there is a recent update on this theme. Could you let me know where and how I can get it please. Also on my site, some placeholder pic are not showing on some page. It was fine initially and something changed. If you can help me on this that will be great. Thank you.
The images that are displayed on the portfolio element are portfolio items, they are linked through categories to the portfolio element. The images that are displayed for the portfolio item are placed on featured image of each portfolio item.
I will explain below how the portfolio items works.
The following example shows a posts element in which are attached 'Apps', 'Development' and 'Editing' categories, which means all the portfolio items that have assigned one of these categories will be directly displayed on that page.
One more thing is the Metro Layout Type in which the posts are manually added via query field, the reason why they are manually added there is because of their flexibility for columns.
You can update it on the manual mode. So, change the theme to a default theme in Appearance > Themes and remove Centaurus, after removing install a fresh copy from ThemeForest > Downloads. (installable file), upload it and you have the newest version.

Thanks for the help. I think I updated the theme without a hitch. However portfolio grid still have problem. I am using portfolio grid created by you and editing via Elementor to put it on my landing page. It only shows picture of newest portfolio items as selected "post per page" and others just comes up as grey or clear box after I click "show more" button at the bottom. Means if I set it as 6, it shows 6 portfolio thumbnails from the newest and rest comes up without thumbnail but grey or clear/ghost box. If I set it more than portfolio items, yes all show up with thumbnail pictures but I don't want it because it just messy. What setting am I missing? Currently it set as 6 and if you have a time please have a look.

The lazy images plugin that you're using is causing the issue, it is coming from JetPack I guess.
Please confirm if that plugin is causing the issue, try the deactivation or changing any setting on the lazy images settings.
