I have created a header template in elementor, loaded it through customize theme and selected “Sticky” as the option, and published it. However it isn’t staying as stuck as I scroll and is scrolling with the site. I have also purged WP cache and cleared browser cache and refreshed but that didnt work either. How do I keep the header sticky?

    Hey,

It seems to be sticky in the homepage. http://prntscr.com/n61z53

Can you please double check it?

    Kind Regards

If you mean about the scroll that is created, that's because there are two headers and they need a delay to be displayed, that can be the case.

No I mean that when I scroll down my home page, the site title/logo and nav menu disappears. it is not "sticky" as i scroll down my page. I double checked and have tried in different browsers and its not sticky.

and now there are like a hundred options showing up in my nav menu. This is so frustrating

and now when I type my website, michaelriceart.com into a new browser tab, it just freezes when I try and load my website and the domain changes to this... http://bifrost.local/post-layout-v5/ ????

    Hi,

There's an option that can redirect a post or page to another URL, that option could be enabled in your homepage, please check it on the page settings > general > redirect.

    Kind Regards

There is no option for "redirect" when I go to settings > general. Both my wordpress address and site address are accurately listed as michaelrice art.com. Also, my hosting service, Siteground is assuring me that this issue is on YOUR end and have said my database has been corrupted (I've pasted their response  below) I haven't done anything outside of playing around in Pages and Elementor. I never changed anything in Settings or anywhere else.

    Hello Michael,

Thank you for contacting our Help Desk.

I have scanned the files on your account and they are clean. The redirect seems to be caused by the comprised content of your database. You can search in the database by going to your cPanel > PHPMyAdmin tool > choose the databse > Search for "bifrost" for example > choose all tables:

    https://screenshots.firefox.com/JFuqzyLvRHp6qGGa/secureus239.sgcpanel.com

I advise you to revise the cleaning of it with your developer as simply deleting it will result in breaking your application. If you do not have one you can contact a freelancer or our partners Sucuri as they are security experts and would help you remove the malicious code.

Please take note that we do not perform cleaning of compromised files so we would not be able to assist you further.

You should change all your passwords with more secure ones. To change the cPanel password follow this tutorial:

    https://www.siteground.com/kb/how_to_change_the_password_for_cpanel/

It is important to perform an anti-virus scan of your local computer as well as it could be compromised as well.

Keep in mind that any outdated applications, plugins or themes could result in a possible security breach so you should keep them updated.

I am providing you with a link to our security tips you can read and follow in the future:

    Hi,

I don't mean the Settings of the WordPress, but the settings of that page.

    1. Edit the page with regular edit.
    2. Set the redirect option to false. http://prntscr.com/n63dkh

    Kind Regards

And I also got this reply from Siteground Hosting service, again alluding to the fact that this is an issue with the Bifrost Theme.

It is possible that this is malfunctioning of the theme and thus causing the unwanted redirect. I would suggest you to contact Bitfrost support to revise the issue with them.

In the meantime you could consider a backup restore, restoring the website from the date it last worked correctly. You have access to your backups from cPanel > Backup Restore, using the tool you can choose a date and a backup type and restore it:

    https://www.siteground.com/tutorials/cpanel/backup-restore-tool/

If you want to request a professional backup restore performed by us you can do that from your User Area > Support > Backup Creation & Restore > Backup Restore.

For any other inquiries you are welcome to contact us again by opening a new ticket.

I don't have an option for Settings under pages... the only suboptions available are "All Pages" and "Add New"

Click on the ‘Edit’ button of the homepage(front page) and you’ll see the options there.

If you want you can provide me here with your wp-admin, I will quickly remove it. You can mark it as private reply.

Which home page?where? how do I get to it?  the theme comes loaded with 125 pages that  have to manually go through and edit? honestly, at this point I want a refund,  I already submitted the request. This is ridiculous.  Your instructions are incredibly vague.

That's why I have set it on parenthesis, the front page. You simply need to edit one page and that's the front page of your website that you have set in the Settings > Reading > Front Page. Edit that page with regular edit and in the page settings of that page disable the redirect.
