    Hi,

I am trying to set up the shop within my main site. I would like to have just categories showing on the shop's front page but no products. Could you let me know how to do this please.

Ok, I read comments thread it said there isn't way to show categories on the shop's front page, is that right?

My next question is when I set the "shop wide sidebar" as woocommerce shop via woocommerce's setting section, the shop page shows several of large products links where demo shows "

Shop Wide Sidebar A grid based shop page that gathers all the products

from your website with plenty of options to choose from." quote. how can i fix it?

They actually appears below breadcrumb and above actual shop page. Is that what to do with woocommerce's setting?

    Hi Tomomi,

When you select the shop page, the only options you can choose are those from the Appearance > Customize > Shop.

Creating shop pages simply without selecting the archive page, are more customizable, because those can be changed via Elementor, for example you can use different layouts and different sizes.

    Kind Regards

    Thank you for your help.

So I copied demo page's Elemntor to the shop page which created by woocommerce. If I don't set this shop as actual woocommerce shop via their setting, it looks it supposed to be. But once I set it as a shop, it looks like this.

All the customize functions only affect actual Elementor part which is at the bottom but I can't figure out where those whole shop section is coming from.

What setting did I do wrong.

Exactly, when you set that to shop page, it means automatically it's changed to an archive page which collects all the products without filtering by categories or anything similar. The only options that can affect that page are the ones from Customizer, you cannot build the archive page with Elementor, that's how it is.

The Elementor is able to edit only pages or posts, not archives or categories.

Feel free to ask for anything you need.

    Kind Regards

Thank you and i think I am understanding correctly what you are saying. And all those are functioning as it supposedly.

However my problem is it seems to be woocommerce's default shop page is overriding the page setup however I did via Elementor or customizer. How can I stop it? I am not using Elementor Pro so I can't edit assigned shop page directly.

Simply go to the WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced and unselect the shop page there.
