Still trying to customize Arteon HOME DESIGNER template. How do you suggest to work? Using Elementor or your customization window?

For example: I am trying to change the images and the text with mine, and would like the image to link to a page with more photos and text for the same project (I like Side Portfolio V4). How can I do it in a simple way?

My friend has some knowledge of web design, and he is saying that there is a lot of work to do... I bought the theme thinking that I could easily customize with drag and drop, but apparently it's not like that.

    Please help.

    Hi Salvatore,

I have built and prepared you a Side Portfolio created fully with Elementor, so you can simply upload it and start to use in your portfolio items, make sure to hide the hero, so it will look exactly as the portfolios you were looking.

Feel free to ask for anything you need.

Thanks but my problem is BEFORE that. I am using the CREATIVE HOME DESIGNER page as my home page template but I just cannot edit the individual images and add mine... What should I do?

Then, once I insert my images, how I create a link to the individual project portfolio? (Yes, this is where the Side Portfolio will be).

I add the image of the Home page i am trying the customize.

    Thanks, Salvatore

    Hi,

The images that are displayed on the portfolio element are portfolio items, they are linked through categories to the portfolio element. The images that are displayed for the portfolio item are placed on featured image of each portfolio item.

The following example shows a posts element in which are attached 'Apps', 'Development' and 'Editing' categories, which means all the portfolio items that have assigned one of these categories will be directly displayed on that page.

One more thing is the Metro Layout Type in which the posts are manually added via query field, the reason why they are manually added there is because of their flexibility for columns.

Hello. I did not think it would be so difficult to customize the Arteon template :-( (I send a snapshot of your description of the theme as your reference)

My friend managed to get the images on the HOME DESIGNER PAGE, as in the snapshot attached. However, ALL these images are linked to the SAME Side Portfolio v5, while I need each Image on the Home Page (the Featured image, as you call it) to link to ITS OWN Side Portfolio with more images and text.

How to do this? Basically, how to duplicate the Side Portfolio AND how to link it to the Featured Image on the Home Page.

    Thanks in advance, Salvatore Autorino

    Hi Salvatore,

Please check on the portfolio item settings(for those that are being redirect), we have an option which enables the redirection and send you to another location.

    Hi again:

Maybe I was not explaining myself well. The Portfolio Item settings are set to REDIRECT (see attachement). Just, they redirect to the SAME page of Side Portfolio V5. I have 12 projects, each with a Feature Portfolio Item showing on the Home Page of HOME DESIGNER.

I need each Feature image to link to a page using the layout of Side Portfolio V5, so I can show that particular project in detail.

So again: I need to know HOW to create multiple pages using the same template (Side Portfolio V5) and how to link them correctly.

    Thanks again, Salvatore

    Hi Salvatore,

As I said before, please go to each portfolio item setting and remove the redirect, you don't need the redirect, we simply added it in our demo because we don't wanted to duplicate the portfolio items.

So, by removing the redirect they will be headed directly to their portfolio item page.

You can also duplicate the side portfolio v5 via this plugin, it will be quite easy duplicating everything and simply re-writing there.

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicate-post/

As for the linking them to the portfolio item, please read below:

The images that are displayed on the portfolio element are portfolio items, they are linked through categories to the portfolio element. The images that are displayed for the portfolio item are placed on featured image of each portfolio item.

The following example shows a posts element in which are attached 'Apps', 'Development' and 'Editing' categories, which means all the portfolio items that have assigned one of these categories will be directly displayed on that page.

    Hey Salvatore,

I would suggest you a plugin to manage the order.

We use it too, it's a very lightweight plugin which is applied only on the back-end, so no need to worry about speed or something. You'll be able to drag & drop the posts in the back-end.

Thanks. I installed the plug in, modified the settings as instructed but it's not working. I should see in Portfolio Items a box that would allow me to put the projects in the order I want, but I don't see it.

I attach the screenshot of the Dashboard Settings, maybe I do something wrong?

    Hey Salvatore,

Simply tick the box at the post type, not the portfolio categories.

    We are almost there.

The Plug-in works, but only for 11 Portfolio Items, not for the last one. The 12th portfolio is the last in the Portfolio Items List, but appears as 10th on the Home Page... (then of course the other two are moved down the pecking order).

I attach screenshot of the Portfolio Items List, of the Home Page, and of the settings of the 12th portfolio item (which are the same of the others).

Please advice. I need that particular Portfolio Item to be at the end.

    Thanks, Salvatore

    Hello: Just an update.

I think it's a bug. Whichever Portfolio Item is at the bottom of the list, it gets moved two places up. So I found a way to have it in the order I wanted it just by putting as last in the list what I wanted in 10th position :-)

If you fix the bug anytime soon, let me know.

    Hey Salvatore,

That can be masonry issue, please change the layout from Masonry to FitRows and test it again.
