When I select this footer as the default footer via Appearance>Customize>Footer nothing shows up as a footer after saving. What could be the problem please.
Can you please try just one thing, and I will mark it as a bug, so I can fix it immediately. Simply, create another footer template, just for test, see if it works after that.

So, both of the footers now are showing right? I am marking it as a bug, I will release an update which fixes that issue, I will let you know when I do it, I'm sorry about that.

Can you please check the header position in the page settings, that may be on the position absolute, change it to the static and that may be the case.
